Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex network systems and server environments.
- Oversee cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive county data and infrastructure from unauthorized access.
- Manage vendor relationships and coordinate large-scale IT projects from conception to deployment.
- Provide advanced technical troubleshooting and support for internal stakeholders across various departments.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive IT documentation, disaster recovery plans, and standard operating procedures.
- Monitor system performance and implement proactive measures to ensure 99.9% uptime.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure management and network engineering.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, cloud computing platforms (AWS/Azure), and cybersecurity best practices.
- Professional certifications such as CCNP, CISSP, or AWS Solutions Architect are highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
