Responsibilities
- Manage and Maintain Infrastructure: Oversee the daily operations of server environments, including hardware upgrades and software patching to ensure 99.9% system uptime.
- Security Compliance: Implement and monitor robust security protocols to protect sensitive state data against cyber threats and ensure strict adherence to state privacy laws.
- Ticket Resolution: Serve as the Tier 3 support lead, diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues for internal staff and external stakeholders.
- Documentation: Create detailed technical documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to facilitate knowledge transfer and team efficiency.
- Project Leadership: Collaborate with project managers to design, test, and deploy new IT solutions and cloud-based applications.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in systems administration or IT support within a government or enterprise environment.
- Certifications: Valid CCNA, AWS Solutions Architect, or similar professional certifications are strongly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, Linux, and virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
