Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of complex IT systems and applications to support county operations.
- Conduct system architecture reviews and provide technical guidance to junior developers and IT staff.
- Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive government data.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Oversee vendor relationships and manage IT project lifecycles from conception to completion.
- Maintain high availability and performance of critical infrastructure services.
- Train and mentor team members on best practices and new technologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in software development or systems analysis.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
- Strong knowledge of database management systems (SQL, Oracle, or SQL Server).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to obtain a security clearance (if required by specific departments).
