Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex IT systems and network architectures to support county operations.
- Lead cybersecurity initiatives, including risk assessments, penetration testing, and compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Manage project lifecycles from initiation to closure, ensuring deliverables are met on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify technical requirements and provide innovative solutions.
- Mentor junior staff and conduct technical training sessions to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Oversee vendor relationships and service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure optimal system performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, or systems engineering.
- Professional certification such as PMP, CISSP, or AWS Solutions Architect is highly desirable.
- Deep knowledge of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure) and virtualization technologies.
- Strong understanding of government compliance standards (FISMA, NIST) and data privacy laws.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
