Responsibilities
- System Architecture & Maintenance: Design, develop, and maintain complex IT systems and software applications to meet agency objectives and regulatory standards.
- Critical Project Management: Lead and oversee high-priority technical projects from inception to deployment, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.
- Security & Compliance: Implement and monitor robust cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive state data and infrastructure from breaches.
- Traffic & Data Analysis: Analyze system performance data to optimize workflows and enhance user experience across digital platforms.
- Tech Leadership: Mentor junior staff and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive technological innovation within the agency.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in systems analysis, software development, or IT project management within a government or enterprise environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, Java, Python, or .NET; experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) is highly preferred.
- Certifications: PMP, ITIL, or Security+ certification is a strong plus.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
