Responsibilities
- Lead IT Infrastructure Management: Oversee the planning, deployment, and maintenance of complex IT systems and network architecture to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Cybersecurity Implementation: Enforce state and federal cybersecurity protocols, conduct risk assessments, and manage access controls to protect sensitive data.
- Project Management: Lead cross-functional teams in the development and implementation of software solutions and digital transformation projects.
- Technical Support & Training: Provide advanced troubleshooting for hardware and software issues and conduct training sessions for staff on new technologies.
- Vendor Management: Evaluate and manage relationships with third-party technology vendors to ensure contract compliance and optimal service delivery.
- Compliance & Auditing: Ensure all IT activities comply with state regulations, auditing standards, and best practices.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT systems administration, project management, or software development within a large-scale environment.
- Certifications: Active certification such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator is highly desirable.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming languages (Python, Java, or .NET), database management (SQL), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Public Sector Knowledge: Experience working in government or public sector environments is a strong plus.
