Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, design, and implementation of complex information technology systems and infrastructure.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure high availability of critical applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify IT requirements and develop scalable solutions.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to safeguard sensitive government data.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior IT staff and support analysts.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee third-party IT service contracts.
- Document technical processes, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; OR equivalent relevant experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in IT systems administration, network engineering, or software development.
- Strong proficiency in Windows Server, Linux, and virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Certifications such as CISSP, CompTIA Security+, or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) are highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
- Valid California driver’s license may be required for on-site site visits.
