Responsibilities
- Network Security Management: Monitor, analyze, and defend against cyber threats and network intrusions using advanced security tools and SIEM systems.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct comprehensive vulnerability assessments and risk analysis to ensure compliance with FISMA and NIST standards.
- Incident Response: Lead the response to security incidents, coordinating with federal agencies to mitigate risks and restore system integrity.
- System Administration: Manage and maintain servers, firewalls, and secure cloud environments (AWS/Azure) to ensure high availability.
- Policy Compliance: Develop and enforce IT security policies and procedures, ensuring all systems meet strict federal regulatory requirements.
- Technical Support: Provide expert-level technical support and guidance to internal stakeholders and federal personnel.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Clearance: Active Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain Special Access Programs (SAP) eligibility.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in federal IT environments, cybersecurity, or information assurance.
- Certifications: CISSP, Security+, or equivalent professional certification is required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python, Linux administration, and knowledge of the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP).
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of producing clear technical documentation.
