Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain complex federal IT systems and databases in compliance with NIST and FISMA standards.
- Lead technical projects from conception through deployment, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.
- Conduct comprehensive security assessments, vulnerability testing, and risk analysis to protect federal assets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot complex engineering challenges and optimize system performance.
- Mentor junior staff members, providing technical guidance and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Ensure all IT operations align with federal regulations and agency strategic objectives.
- Provide expert-level technical support and documentation for mission-critical applications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT roles within a federal or government environment.
- Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance is required.
- Proficiency in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure) and virtualization platforms.
- Strong knowledge of ITIL frameworks, Agile, and Waterfall project management methodologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- CISSP, PMP, or similar industry certifications are highly preferred.
