Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the day-to-day operations of federal IT infrastructure across the New York region, ensuring 99.9% uptime.
- Implement and enforce strict cybersecurity protocols in compliance with OPM, NIST, and FedRAMP standards.
- Conduct regular system audits and risk assessments to protect sensitive federal data and classified information.
- Provide advanced technical troubleshooting and support for federal employees and contractors within the office.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize legacy systems and integrate cloud-based solutions.
- Ensure all IT activities adhere to Title 5 U.S. Code and agency-specific policies.
- Train junior staff on federal best practices and emerging technology trends.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in federal, state, or local government IT administration.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance (or the ability to obtain one within 12 months).
- Proven expertise in network security, server management, and cloud computing platforms.
- Strong understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Title 5 hiring regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder reporting.
- Certification such as CISSP, Security+, or ITIL Foundation is preferred.
