Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations and maintenance of the agency's local and wide-area networks, ensuring 99.9% uptime.
- Design, implement, and manage cloud-based solutions, including migration strategies and data security.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to comply with federal and state cybersecurity regulations.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior IT staff, fostering a collaborative problem-solving environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deploy software applications that enhance government service delivery.
- Respond to and resolve complex technical incidents and service tickets with minimal downtime.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT systems administration or network engineering within a government or large enterprise environment.
- Strong proficiency in Windows Server, Linux, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Valid CompTIA Security+ or higher certification is highly preferred.
- Experience with disaster recovery planning and database management (SQL).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
