Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN) to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
- Implement and monitor security protocols to safeguard sensitive state government data and prevent cyber threats.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, deploy, and upgrade IT infrastructure solutions.
- Conduct regular system audits, performance assessments, and capacity planning.
- Document technical procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting guides for team reference.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT systems administration or network engineering.
- Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, and cloud technologies (Azure or Google Cloud preferred).
- Certification such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or MCSA is highly preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with non-technical stakeholders and technical teams.
