Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN) across county facilities.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and technical support for hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
- Ensure data integrity and enforce strict network security protocols and compliance standards.
- Oversee system patch management, upgrades, and performance monitoring.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify technical bottlenecks and implement efficient solutions.
- Train junior staff and other county departments on new software and hardware systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in IT support, system administration, or network engineering.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols.
- Proficiency in managing Microsoft Windows Server environments and Active Directory.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) is highly preferred.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, or CCNA are a significant plus.
