Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee the maintenance and optimization of network infrastructure, servers, and end-user support systems within the Miami district.
- System Optimization: Analyze system performance metrics to implement proactive solutions that ensure high availability and security compliance.
- Tier 3 Support: Provide expert-level troubleshooting and guidance to staff regarding complex hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Project Leadership: Assist in the planning and execution of IT projects, including software upgrades, hardware deployments, and cloud migrations.
- Cybersecurity Compliance: Monitor systems for vulnerabilities and ensure strict adherence to state and federal security protocols and best practices.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent relevant work experience).
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in IT support, systems administration, or network engineering.
- Certifications: Possession of CompTIA Security+ or higher is strongly preferred.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, SQL, and virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with non-technical stakeholders and executive leadership.
