Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex network architectures to support federal health information systems.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot complex issues to ensure 99.9% uptime for critical applications.
- Enforce strict federal security protocols and compliance standards (FISMA, NIST) to protect sensitive veteran data.
- Lead the deployment of new hardware, software, and cloud technologies across the enterprise.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize IT infrastructure for scalability and efficiency.
- Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to mitigate potential cyber threats.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in network administration and system engineering.
- Certification required: Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent.
- Federal government experience is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and network security protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
