Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex IT infrastructure including servers, networks, and cloud environments.
- Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, providing technical guidance and conducting performance evaluations.
- Develop and execute disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure operational resilience.
- Analyze system performance metrics to identify bottlenecks and implement optimization strategies.
- Ensure strict compliance with state and federal data security and privacy regulations.
- Collaborate with department heads to align IT strategies with organizational goals.
- Write detailed technical documentation and maintain accurate system logs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure, network engineering, or systems administration.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP), routing, switching, and firewalls.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues under pressure.
- Valid Driver’s License and willingness to travel to various county facilities as needed.
- Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, CompTIA Security+, or PMP are highly preferred.
