Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects for municipal departments, ensuring alignment with strategic city goals.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot complex technical issues to ensure 99.9% uptime for critical government applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including city managers and external vendors, to define technical requirements and solutions.
- Ensure strict compliance with government security standards (FISMA, NIST) and data privacy regulations.
- Mentor junior analysts and provide technical guidance on best practices for system architecture and integration.
- Prepare detailed technical documentation, including system requirements, architecture diagrams, and operational manuals.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies for IT infrastructure vulnerabilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT analysis, system administration, or government technology services.
- Proven experience managing large-scale software implementations or IT project lifecycles.
- Strong knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure) and legacy government systems.
- Familiarity with federal and state government procurement processes and compliance standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
