Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end project lifecycle for major IT initiatives, ensuring alignment with agency strategic goals.
- Manage cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and business analysts, fostering a culture of transparency and accountability.
- Oversee project budgets, resource allocation, and risk management to mitigate potential delays and cost overruns.
- Facilitate stakeholder communication, providing regular progress updates and managing expectations for executive leadership.
- Ensure all deliverables adhere to federal and district compliance standards, including FISMA and DC IT security protocols.
- Drive the adoption of Agile methodologies, conducting sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups.
- Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance team efficiency and project delivery speed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in IT project management, preferably within the public sector or a large-scale enterprise environment.
- Proven experience managing full SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) projects.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent PMP/Prince2 certification is highly desirable.
- Expertise in Agile and Scrum frameworks, with a track record of leading successful Agile transformations.
- Strong knowledge of government contracting regulations and IT governance frameworks.
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
