Responsibilities
- Lead the full project lifecycle, from initiation and planning to execution, monitoring, and closure, utilizing Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Manage budgets, resources, and timelines to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.
- Facilitate communication between technical teams, stakeholders, and city departments to align on project goals and deliverables.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, while implementing effective mitigation strategies to keep initiatives on track.
- Ensure all projects comply with city policies, state regulations, and federal standards.
- Mentor junior project managers and contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management, preferably within the public sector or government.
- Professional Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification is required.
- Proven experience managing large-scale software development projects and IT infrastructure upgrades.
- Strong proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, MS Project, and Confluence.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate technical jargon for non-technical stakeholders.
