Responsibilities
- Safeguard federal networks against cyber threats using advanced security protocols
- Implement and maintain security frameworks (NIST, FISMA) across classified systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical infrastructure
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on incident response and threat mitigation
- Develop security awareness training programs for federal employees
- Manage encryption systems and access control mechanisms
- Ensure compliance with federal IT security regulations and policies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years experience in federal IT security or equivalent private sector
- Active CISSP, Security+, or CompTIA Security+ certification required
- Expertise in cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP) and network security
- Experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and vulnerability scanners
- Ability to obtain and maintain Secret clearance
- Strong analytical skills and threat intelligence expertise
