Responsibilities
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues for over 1,000 city employees.
- Manage and resolve complex service tickets in the IT Service Management system (ITSM) with a focus on first-call resolution.
- Deploy, configure, and maintain end-user devices, including laptops, printers, and mobile peripherals.
- Collaborate with network engineering teams to ensure secure and reliable connectivity across all Metro facilities.
- Conduct regular system audits and software updates to maintain security compliance and operational efficiency.
- Mentor junior IT staff and provide on-the-job training for new technology implementations.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT support, help desk, or systems administration.
- Valid CompTIA A+ or higher certification is required.
- Strong working knowledge of Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office 365, and Active Directory.
- Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, JIRA) and remote desktop tools.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening as required for government employment.
