Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities
- Project Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams through the entire project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and county strategic plans.
- Planning & Strategy: Define project scopes, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders, senior management, and technical leads.
- Resource Management: Effectively manage project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project continuity and stability.
- Stakeholder Communication: Maintain clear and consistent communication with stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, challenges, and achievements.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure all projects adhere to county policies, state regulations, and industry best practices.
- Agile Implementation: Facilitate Agile/Scrum ceremonies and drive the adoption of iterative development methodologies.
Qualifications:
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in IT project management, with a strong preference for experience in the public sector or government contracting.
- Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) or PgMP (Program Management Professional) certification is highly required.
- Methodologies: Proven experience managing projects using Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall methodologies.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, MS Project, or Smartsheet.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
