Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end project lifecycle (Initiation, Planning, Execution, Monitoring, and Closure) for large-scale state IT projects.
- Manage cross-functional teams, including developers, analysts, and external vendors, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, budgets, and schedules, proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
- Communicate project status, risks, and achievements to senior leadership and key stakeholders on a regular basis.
- Ensure all deliverables comply with state regulations, security standards, and quality assurance protocols.
- Facilitate Agile/Scrum ceremonies and drive continuous improvement within the project team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; Masterβs degree preferred.
- PMP, PgMP, or PSM certification is strongly required.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT project management, with at least 3 years in a government or large-scale enterprise environment.
- Proven experience managing budgets over $1M and leading teams of 5+ members.
- Strong proficiency in MS Project, JIRA, and Agile project management tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
