Responsibilities
- Conduct Security Assessments: Perform vulnerability scans and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in federal systems.
- Manage Risk: Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate threats to agency assets.
- Monitor Security Operations: Analyze security alerts and logs from SIEM tools to detect and respond to intrusions in real-time.
- Ensure Compliance: Enforce FISMA compliance and NIST security frameworks across all organizational systems.
- Incident Response: Lead the investigation and remediation of security breaches and cyber incidents.
- Access Control: Manage and review Identity and Access Management (IAM) protocols to ensure proper clearance levels.
Qualifications
- Certification: Must possess a current CISSP, Security+, or CEH certification.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in cybersecurity, information assurance, or network security within a government or defense environment.
- Clearance: Must be eligible for a Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in tools such as Splunk, FireEye, Nessus, and CIS Control benchmarks.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for briefing senior leadership.
