Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and monitor advanced security measures to protect city networks and systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical infrastructure
- Develop incident response protocols and lead cybersecurity investigations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on secure system architecture
- Ensure compliance with FISMA, NIST, and California privacy regulations
- Train staff on cybersecurity best practices and threat awareness
- Manage security tools including SIEM, firewalls, and encryption systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise security with government/public sector background
- CISSP, CISM, or CEH certification required
- Expert knowledge of NIST frameworks and zero-trust architecture
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and DevSecOps practices
- Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate complex technical concepts
- Active U.S. government security clearance (or ability to obtain)
