Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the city's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and related hardware and software systems.
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for end-users across various departments.
- Ensure data integrity and implement cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive government information.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, design, and implement IT infrastructure upgrades.
- Monitor system performance and perform routine maintenance to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Document technical procedures and assist in the training of junior IT staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in IT support, network administration, or systems engineering.
- Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory background check are mandatory for this government position.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Server environments, Active Directory, and TCP/IP networking.
- Experience with government compliance standards and data privacy regulations is highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical staff.
