Responsibilities
- Design and implement secure network infrastructure for VA medical facilities
- Manage cloud migration projects on AWS and Azure platforms
- Lead cybersecurity compliance initiatives (NIST, FISMA)
- Coordinate with federal IT teams on cross-agency technology integrations
- Develop disaster recovery protocols for critical healthcare systems
- Mentor junior IT staff on federal IT best practices
- Monitor system performance and optimize resource utilization
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (required)
- 5+ years of federal IT infrastructure experience (required)
- Active CISSP or CompTIA Security+ certification (required)
- Expertise in cloud architecture (AWS/Azure) and virtualization
- Familiarity with VA-specific IT systems (VistA, Cerner)
- Secret security clearance (current or ability to obtain)
- Project management certification (PMP or similar)
