Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain city-wide network infrastructure including firewalls, routers, and switches
- Oversee cybersecurity protocols and incident response for municipal systems
- Lead implementation of cloud solutions and enterprise software deployments
- Provide technical guidance to junior IT staff and departmental stakeholders
- Ensure all systems comply with federal and state regulations (FISMA, NIST)
- Develop disaster recovery plans and conduct regular system audits
- Coordinate with vendors for hardware/software procurement and maintenance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive IT experience with government/public sector
- Expertise in cybersecurity frameworks and network administration
- CompTIA Security+ and CCNP certifications required
- Strong project management skills with PMP certification
- Experience with Azure/AWS cloud platforms
- Knowledge of Nevada public sector procurement processes
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance
