Responsibilities
- Security Architecture: Design, implement, and manage robust cybersecurity architectures to protect federal systems against evolving cyber threats.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure strict adherence to FISMA, NIST, and agency-specific security compliance standards and conduct regular audits.
- Incident Response: Lead and coordinate incident response efforts during cybersecurity breaches, minimizing downtime and data loss.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk analyses to identify and remediate security gaps.
- Policy Development: Develop, update, and disseminate cybersecurity policies and procedures to ensure a secure operational environment.
- Talent Mentorship: Mentor junior analysts and provide advanced technical training to the IT team.
- Technical Support: Serve as the subject matter expert for complex security incidents and provide technical guidance to government clients.
Qualifications
- Clearance: Active Top Secret Security Clearance (or the ability to obtain one) is required.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in federal information systems security or information assurance.
- Certifications: Current CISSP, CISM, or Security+ (CE) certification is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in network security tools (e.g., FireEye, Splunk, Tenable) and scripting languages (Python/Bash).
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) frameworks and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for briefing senior leadership.
