Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations, maintenance, and security of the agency's network infrastructure and server environments.
- Implement and enforce federal cybersecurity protocols and compliance standards to protect sensitive data.
- Conduct regular risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing to identify security gaps.
- Lead incident response teams to investigate, mitigate, and recover from cyber threats and security breaches.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and improve system performance.
- Provide advanced technical guidance, mentoring, and training to junior IT staff and stakeholders.
- Document technical processes, configurations, and incident reports in compliance with federal regulations.
Qualifications
- Active Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field (Master's preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in federal or civilian IT security roles.
- Proficiency with network security tools, firewalls, Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), and encryption technologies.
- Strong understanding of federal IT governance, NIST frameworks, and FISMA compliance.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
