Responsibilities
- Requirements Analysis: Gather and analyze complex business requirements to design scalable system solutions that align with city standards.
- System Design: Lead the technical design and architecture for enterprise-level applications and databases.
- Project Leadership: Manage multiple IT projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints.
- Compliance & Security: Ensure all technical implementations adhere to strict government security protocols and compliance regulations (e.g., FERPA, HIPAA).
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary liaison between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders, providing clear and concise updates.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor system performance and implement optimizations to ensure 99.9% uptime for city services.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in systems analysis, software development, or IT project management within a large-scale enterprise environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, Python, Java, or C#. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) is highly preferred.
- Government Experience: Experience working within a government or public sector environment is a significant plus.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
