Role Overview
As a Senior IT Specialist, you will serve as a subject matter expert in managing complex IT infrastructure. You will ensure the seamless delivery of services to government agencies while maintaining the highest standards of security and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure network infrastructure for government clients.
- Oversee cybersecurity protocols and conduct regular vulnerability assessments.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and technical support for hardware and software systems.
- Manage project lifecycles, ensuring timely delivery of IT solutions.
- Mentor junior staff and conduct technical training sessions.
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations and security standards (FISMA).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in IT operations or system administration within the public sector.
- Active Top Secret or Secret Security Clearance.
- Deep expertise in Windows Server, Active Directory, and cloud technologies (AWS/Azure).
- Strong knowledge of network security, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder reporting.
