Responsibilities
- Manage complex IT projects from initiation through closure using Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across federal, state, and local agencies to define project scope and deliverables.
- Monitor project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
- Identify and mitigate risks to ensure compliance with strict government regulations (FAR, NYS).
- Lead cross-functional teams of engineers, developers, and policy advisors.
- Prepare and present detailed status reports to senior leadership and executive boards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Public Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in IT project management within the public sector or federal contracting.
- PMP or CAPM certification is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state procurement processes (FAR, SAM, NYS Contracts).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical jargon for non-technical audiences.
- Proficiency in MS Project, Jira, or similar project management tools.
