Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, vulnerability analyses, and penetration testing on federal networks.
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust cybersecurity policies, procedures, and standards.
- Lead incident response teams to identify, contain, and mitigate security breaches effectively.
- Monitor network traffic and security alerts using advanced SIEM tools to detect anomalies.
- Ensure strict compliance with NIST, FISMA, and other federal regulatory frameworks.
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and training to junior IT staff and system administrators.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices into system design.
Qualifications
- Must possess an active Secret or Top Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain one).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, IT security, or network administration.
- Certification such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC is strongly preferred.
- Deep understanding of federal information security regulations and compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
