Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation and maintenance of Cybersecurity architectures to protect sensitive federal data.
- Conduct rigorous risk assessments and vulnerability scans in accordance with FedRAMP and NIST standards.
- Oversee incident response teams to mitigate cyber threats and recover from security breaches efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and agency policies regarding information security.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Manage and audit user access controls, ensuring the principle of least privilege is strictly enforced.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess (or obtain) a Secret Security Clearance.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; OR 4 years of additional specialized experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in Information Systems Security or network defense.
- Certifications: Active CISSP or Security+ certification is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with cloud security (AWS/Azure), SIEM tools (Splunk), and endpoint protection solutions.
- Communication: Ability to write clear, concise technical reports and brief senior leadership.
