Responsibilities
- Oversee the administration and maintenance of enterprise database systems and data warehousing solutions.
- Design, develop, and implement data migration strategies and reporting tools using SQL and Python.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver scalable IT solutions.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Conduct system performance tuning and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior IT staff members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT systems analysis, database management, or software development.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and at least one major database platform (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
- Strong knowledge of data modeling, ETL processes, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to pass a background investigation and obtain a New York State ID card.
