Responsibilities
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of federal IT infrastructure and networks.
- Ensure full compliance with FISMA, NIST, and other federal cybersecurity regulations.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and implement necessary security patches and controls.
- Collaborate with agency stakeholders to translate technical requirements into scalable solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior IT staff and system administrators.
- Maintain accurate documentation for all systems, configurations, and audit trails.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
- Active Secret or Top Secret clearance (or the ability to obtain one).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal IT environments or DOD-related systems.
- Deep knowledge of network security protocols, firewalls, and encryption standards.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and government IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.
