Responsibilities
- Oversee the maintenance, security, and performance of federal IT infrastructure and network systems.
- Implement and manage compliance standards required for federal contracts, including FISMA and NIST frameworks.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex hardware, software, and network issues to minimize downtime.
- Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing to protect sensitive data.
- Collaborate with federal stakeholders and project managers to define technical requirements and project scopes.
- Document technical processes, configurations, and incident reports to maintain compliance and knowledge transfer.
- Train junior staff and provide technical guidance on federal IT policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance (or eligibility to obtain) required.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field (or equivalent military experience).
- 5+ years of experience supporting federal government or Department of Defense (DoD) IT environments.
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CCNP, or AWS Solutions Architect preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), virtualization, and hybrid network architectures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting to government officials and clients.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing federal regulations.
