As a Senior IT Specialist, you will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity of our federal systems and ensuring seamless service delivery to veterans.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex IT infrastructure solutions for federal agencies.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot complex technical issues to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Enforce strict cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive government data and ensure compliance with federal regulations.
- Lead technical projects from conception to completion, managing budgets and timelines effectively.
- Conduct regular system audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities.
- Provide advanced technical guidance and training to junior IT staff and government stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies into legacy systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Active Secret or Top Secret Security Clearance (or ability to obtain one).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or network engineering.
- Certification preferred: CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+.
- Strong knowledge of federal IT standards (FISMA, NIST, FedRAMP).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
