Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain secure cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) for federal applications in compliance with FedRAMP standards.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits to ensure system integrity.
- Manage the end-to-life cycle of IT assets, ensuring proper documentation and disposal per federal guidelines.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior staff members regarding security best practices and agile methodologies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate complex technical requirements into actionable system specifications.
- Respond to and resolve critical system outages and security incidents with minimal downtime.
- Ensure all technical documentation is current, accurate, and accessible to the compliance team.
Qualifications
- Active Secret or Top Secret Security Clearance (US Citizenship required).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT systems engineering or federal contracting.
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) with a focus on security services (IAM, KMS, VPC).
- Certification preferred: CISSP, Security+, or GSEC.
- Strong understanding of NIST frameworks, FISMA, and OMB Circular A-123.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical reporting.
