Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation and management of enterprise-level security protocols and firewalls.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing.
- Oversee incident response procedures and coordinate with federal agencies during security breaches.
- Develop and maintain detailed security documentation, policies, and compliance reports.
- Train junior staff on cybersecurity best practices and regulatory frameworks (e.g., NIST, FISMA).
- Manage software licensing and hardware asset security across the network.
- Perform regular audits to ensure 100% compliance with federal standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 10 years of specialized experience in IT security, cybersecurity, or network defense.
- Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI access required.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Deep understanding of federal frameworks including NIST SP 800-53 and FISMA.
- Strong knowledge of Linux, Windows Server environments, and cloud security (AWS/Azure).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting to senior leadership.
