Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, design, and implementation of enterprise-level IT solutions for state agencies.
- Oversee cybersecurity protocols and ensure compliance with federal and state data privacy regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline digital workflows and improve citizen services.
- Conduct system audits and provide technical guidance to junior staff and government partners.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee project lifecycles from initiation to deployment.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and disaster recovery plans.
- Identify emerging technologies to enhance operational efficiency and cost savings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in IT project management or systems administration within a government or large enterprise environment.
- Proven expertise in cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) and legacy system modernization.
- Strong understanding of California Public Records Act (CPRA) and federal compliance standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Valid State of California Driver’s License (required for occasional site visits).
- Certifications such as PMP, CISSP, or CompTIA Security+ are highly desirable.
