Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and manage complex network architectures, including LAN, WAN, and VPN environments.
- Oversee network security protocols, ensuring compliance with state and federal cybersecurity standards.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for network outages and performance issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and software solutions.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate service level agreements (SLAs) for network equipment.
- Document network configurations, diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in network engineering and infrastructure management.
- Strong knowledge of Cisco, Juniper, or similar networking equipment and technologies.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
- Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or CISSP are highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
