Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee the maintenance, configuration, and reliability of server environments, including Windows Server and Linux systems.
- Technical Support: Provide advanced troubleshooting and Tier-3 support for hardware, software, and network issues across multiple state agencies.
- Security Compliance: Implement and monitor security protocols to ensure data integrity and compliance with state and federal cybersecurity standards.
- Project Coordination: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, execute, and deliver IT projects on time and within budget.
- System Optimization: Analyze system performance metrics to identify bottlenecks and implement optimization strategies.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including standard operating procedures and incident reports.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT support, system administration, or network engineering.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Active Directory, Azure, VMware, and virtualization technologies.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with a proven track record of resolving complex technical challenges efficiently.
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or similar certifications are preferred.
