Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers, networks, and operating systems to ensure 99.9% uptime for government services.
- Security Compliance: Implement and monitor advanced cybersecurity protocols, ensuring adherence to state and federal data privacy regulations.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues for internal stakeholders and the public sector community efficiently.
- Project Support: Collaborate with project managers to deploy new software solutions and upgrade legacy systems.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed technical documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for IT operations.
- Backup & Recovery: Manage data backup strategies and disaster recovery planning to safeguard critical government data.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent years of experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in system administration or IT support within a large organization.
- Certifications: Valid certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or equivalent are highly preferred.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and cloud technologies (AWS/Azure).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate technical jargon for non-technical staff.
- Licensure: Valid California Driver’s License and acceptable driving record (required for site visits).
