Responsibilities
- Oversee the maintenance, configuration, and reliability of Windows Server and Linux server environments.
- Implement and manage Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions, including Active Directory and Azure AD.
- Monitor system performance, security, and availability to ensure 99.9% uptime for critical state applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot complex technical issues and drive IT modernization initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with state security policies, data protection regulations, and industry best practices.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior system administrators and IT staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in system administration, networking, or IT infrastructure management.
- Strong technical proficiency in Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, or CCNA are highly preferred.
- Proven experience with scripting (PowerShell, Python, or Bash) for automation and system administration.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
