Responsibilities
- Provide Technical Assistance: Deliver top-tier IT support to city employees, resolving hardware and software issues efficiently.
- System Maintenance: Monitor and maintain local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and hardware peripherals.
- Network Administration: Perform routine maintenance, configuration, and troubleshooting of network systems.
- User Management: Assist in the provisioning and management of user accounts and access rights.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of system issues, repairs, and configurations.
- Vendor Coordination: Liaise with external vendors for IT repairs and service contracts.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support or a similar role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Active Directory, and basic networking concepts.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical staff.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a keen attention to detail.
