Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex IT infrastructure, including servers, virtualization environments, and network systems.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot technical issues, and perform preventative maintenance to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Enforce and manage cybersecurity protocols, including patch management, access controls, and vulnerability assessments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide technical support and solutions for state agency applications.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and technical specifications in compliance with state standards.
- Conduct regular audits and compliance checks to ensure adherence to federal and state regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent years of experience in government or enterprise environments.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems administration, network engineering, or IT infrastructure management.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) are highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced government setting.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
