Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and server infrastructure.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software systems for county employees.
- Implement and monitor security protocols to protect sensitive government data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy new IT solutions and upgrades.
- Provide Tier 3 technical support and guidance to end-users.
- Conduct regular system backups and disaster recovery planning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in systems administration or network engineering.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, CCNA, or similar are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical staff.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
