Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, and VPN solutions.
- Oversee server administration and virtualization technologies to ensure 99.9% uptime for government services.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and implement proactive security measures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and modernize legacy systems.
- Conduct regular system audits and provide detailed reports on network health and security compliance.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee third-party IT service providers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems administration or network engineering.
- Proven expertise in Windows Server environments and virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP), routing, and switching.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or MCSA are highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
